Bridal Bouquet Choices - Fresh or Silk?
Wedding Secrets - Save Up To 80% on Your Wedding Budget
If you're anything like me, making your own bridal bouquet seemed like something that would be too intimidating to do on my own...boy was i wrong! It was really rewarding to be able to make something unique and creative for my big day.
When i first got down to making my bouquet, i had to choose whether i wanted to make it using fresh flowers or use silk ones.
On one hand, fresh flowers are absolutely gorgeous. I loved them to death, but i also knew that they're more expensive than silk, and not to mention i'd have to make sure that whatever ones i wanted to use were going to be "in season" when my wedding was going to be.
On the other hand, silk flowers are less expensive and there are a ton of choices out there for me to pick from. Not only that, by using silk, i could play around with the design alot more and even make last minute changes if i needed to.
I knew that my bouquet needed to accent the other flower arrangements in my wedding (like the corsage, bridesmaids' bouquets, etc.) so i ended up going with silk.
For me, it made more sense to me that i could change the flowers around at the last minute if i needed to. This alone helped tip the favor from fresh to silk for me. I also liked knowing that my bouquet would last longer after the wedding was over with the silk flowers.
Anyway, once you decide on fresh or silk, you can then move on to deciding the shape, colors, and specific flowers for the bouquet. Have fun getting creative for your special day! Here's a great site that helped me save alot of money on my wedding budget
